KUTZTOWN, Pa. –
Erin Gonzalez (East Earl, Pa./Garden Spot) continued to accrue accolades this week as the senior forward for No. 1 Kutztown was voted the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II Offensive Athlete of the Week, announced Wednesday.

Gonzalez had an important week for the Golden Bears and herself, individually, helping KU to two victories to remain undefeated during the regular season. Gonzalez assisted on the game's opening goal in a 3-1 victory over No. 5 West Chester last Tuesday night. The captain then had an historic day for her career in a 7-0 win against Slippery Rock on senior day Saturday. Gonzalez netted a career-best four goals and eclipsed the 100 point mark for her career.

Kutztown has three straight road games this week, first taking on Millersville Wednesday night at 6 p.m. KU will then play Frostburg State Saturday, followed by Maryville at Frostburg on Sunday.
