SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The 15th-ranked Kutztown women's lacrosse defense played shutout ball for three-plus quarters and the offense featured 10 different goal scorers as KU defeated Shippensburg 18-4 Saturday afternoon in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division game at Robb Sports Complex.

It is the third consecutive victory for the Golden Bears (10-2 overall, 6-1 PSAC), which remain in second place in the division, behind No. 2 West Chester (11-0, 6-0).

Shannon Lake (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford), who led the offense with a five-point game, including four goals and an assist. The senior recorded her 100th career goal.
Lauren Lamorte (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) recorded a hat trick.
Sam Graf (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills),
Olivia Eilbacher (Cherry Hill, N.J./Camden Catholic) and
Katie Yocum (Hanover, Pa./South Western) all scored two goals and
Emma Meakim (Hatboro, Pa./Upper Moreland),
Madison Wenner (Marmora, N.J./Ocean City),
Lailah ElBouazzaoui (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan),
Maddie Wagner (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) and
Alexis Plesic (Hanover, Pa./South Western) each found the back of the net once in the win. Meakim, Eilbacher and ElBouazzaoui all contributed two assists each.

Kutztown jumped all over the Raiders (2-10, 0-7) early and often, scoring seven goals in both the first and second quarters, while not allowing a goal on the other end, putting the mercy rule into effect in the second quarter and leading 14-0 at halftime. KU tallied its first two goals of the game within the opening 0:59 and was off and running from there. The Maroon and Gold outscored Ship 4-0 in the third, before the Raiders finally got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter when the game was already well in hand.

Jenna Blesson (Sparta, N.J./Lenape Valley Regional) started the game in net for the Golden Bears, playing the first half and finished with five saves.
Marisa Bragg (Ringoes, N.J./Hunterdon Central) played the entire second half in goal and ended with four saves.
Cyrose Conteh (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown) tied team-highs with two caused turnovers and three ground balls.
