McGhee records double-double as Golden Bears fall at home to Millersville

KUTZTOWN, Pa.-- Freshman Jaiden McGhee (Townsend, Del./Middletown) dropped his first double-double in 10 games as the Kutztown University men's basketball team (4-22, 3-17 PSAC) fell to Millersville (21-4, 16-3 PSAC) 95-76 at Keystone Arena Wednesday evening.

McGhee netted a team-high 17 points to go along with a team-high 10 boards. Amir Cunningham (Middletown, Del./Middletown), Yahmir Satterfield (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter), and Kameron Roberts (Townsend, Del./Middletown) all ended in double-figures. The Marauders, who are battling for the first seed in the PSAC East, had six players end in double figures, with Day Waters leading the way with 19. 

Millersville started the game fast, jumping out to a 20-9 lead just six minutes into the game. The Golden Bears started to find some offensive rhythm as the half progressed, cutting the lead to just four thanks to a three from Roberts with under 12 minutes left till half. The Marauders, who shot 52% from the floor in the first, continued to stay hot from the floor as KU struggled to keep up. Millersville led 42-25 with 4:09 left, its largest lead of the first half, and entered the break up 48-36. 

The Marauders continued to stay hot offensively throughout the second half, leading by as much as 31 with 5:48 left. KU cut into the lead thanks to a 15-4 run down the stretch, but Millersville walked away 95-76 winners. 

The Golden Bears have two more games remaining, with only one left at Keystone Arena. That final home game will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 28 against East Stroudsburg. Tip off is slated for 7:30 p.m.
