UNION, N.J. – The Kutztown University women's swimming team recorded four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship marks at their road tri-meet against Arcadia and Keen on Saturday.
The Golden Bears (2-6, 1-4 PSAC) recorded a 196-61 win over Arcadia (0-5, 0-3 MAC) while falling 156.5-103.5 against undefeated Kean (10-0-1 overall).
Kutztown saw four different swimmers qualify for the conference championships in 2025. Kara Damico (Brookhaven, Pa./Sun Valley) (25.04, first) and Frannie Pease-Wingenter (Goodyear, Ariz./Millennium) (25.53, third) both set times while swimming atop the leaderboard of the 50 freestyle. Sarah Zeminski (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) (2:17.26, 200 butterfly) and Annamarie Rodier (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) (11:09.49, 1000 freestyle) both turned in first-place finishes that qualified them for the PSAC Championships in their respective events.
The Maroon and Gold had four first-place finishes, as Phoebe Armes (Somerset, UK/Millfield School) finished with a top time of 1:03.87 in the 100-yard individual medley to round out the stellar weekend for Kutztown.
The Kutztown women open the new year at the Keystone Natatorium against Ursinus on Friday, Jan. 17, at 3 p.m.
