BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- The Kutztown University women's swim team held off Edinboro by three points to earn its first meet victory of the season, 101-98, Friday night at Bloomsburg. The Golden Bears also fell to the host Huskies, 139-69, in the PSAC double dual.

Annamarie Rodier (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) continued to show why she's one of the conference's distance freestyle elites, sweeping the 1000-yard and 500-yard freestyle events for both of Kutztown's (1-4, 1-3 PSAC) event victories. Rodier swam a PSAC cut time and season-best 10:58.45 to win the 1000 free by more than 13 seconds. She was 11 seconds clear of second place in the 500 free, taking it in a PSAC qualifying time of 5:23.64.

Ana Soto (Hamburg, N.J./Vernon Township) put forth her fastest 100 free of the season with a PSAC qualifying 55.09 to place second. Freshman Sarah Zeminski (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) finished runner-up in the 200 butterfly (2:22.82) and third in the 200 free (2:03.71).

The Maroon and Gold got a third-place finish and PSAC cut time from Tatum Rothermel (Halifax, Pa./Halifax) in the 200 breaststroke (2:35.64) and finished the meet with seven PSAC cut times overall. Soto (25.43) and Frannie Pease-Wingenter (Goodyear, Ariz./Millennium) (25.47) both achieved the feat in the 50 free, while Phoebe Armes (Somerset, UK/Millfield School) did so in the 200 individual medley (2:17.99).

Kutztown returns to the Keystone Natatorium on Saturday, Nov. 9, to face Millersville at 1 p.m.
