KUTZTOWN, Pa. – For the second time in as many days, the Kutztown women's swim team defeated both California (Pa.) and East Stroudsburg in a tri-meet, with Saturday afternoon's meet at Keystone Pool.
 
The Golden Bears (5-1 overall, 4-1 PSAC) were victorious over the Vulcans 131-63 and took down the Warriors 110-91. This comes less than 24 hours after the Maroon and Gold came out on top against both Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference foes Friday night at East Stroudsburg's Koehler Fieldhouse. KU won 130-68 over Cal and 105-99 over ESU.
 
The day started off on the winning foot with the 400 Medley Relay team consisting of Gracie McKee (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown), Tatum Rothermel (Halifax, Pa./Halifax), Azlynn Watkins (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) and Trinity Miller (Mount Pleasant, Pa./Mount Pleasant) touching the line first ahead of Cal's second place team and East Stroudsburg's third place team.
 
McKee won the 200 IM and the 200 Back with Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying times. Annamarie Rodier (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) won both the 500 Free and 1650 Free with PSAC cut times. Birta Smaradottir (Mosfellsbær, Iceland/Commercial College of Iceland) took home first in the 200 Breast to round out the winners for KU.
 
Kutztown is back in the pool for another conference meet, this time on the road at Millersville next Saturday, Nov. 4, at 1 p.m.
