KUTZTOWN, Pa. –
Emma Meakim (Hatboro, Pa./Upper Moreland) netted a hat trick and
Sam Graf (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) scored twice as Kutztown University women's lacrosse concluded its home portion of its 2022 schedule, falling to Shippensburg 14-7 Saturday afternoon in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division game at Keystone Field.

The Golden Bears (4-11 overall, 1-9 PSAC) tied the game at 1-1 on a goal by
Olivia Eilbacher (Cherry Hill, N.J./Camden Catholic) with 12:28 left in the first quarter, 1:01 after the Raiders opened the game's scoring with a goal by Jamie Carvin. But after Shippensburg answered with a goal 2:58 following Eilbacher's goal, the Maroon and Gold found themselves behind the rest of the way.

The Raiders led 4-2 after one and 7-4 at halftime, before outscoring KU 4-1 in the third.

Lailah ElBouazzaoui (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) rounded out the scoring for Kutztown with a goal. Eilbacher also had an assist, along with Meakim, the latter also winning a team-high five draw controls.
Robin Spector (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) led KU with five ground balls and six different Golden Bears contributed two caused turnovers.
Jenna Blesson (Sparta, N.J./Lenape Valley Regional) started in net and finished with eight saves, while
Fiona Henderson (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) entered in the third quarter and recorded four saves.

Kutztown's final two games are both on the road. KU takes on West Chester next Wednesday, April 27, at 4 p.m., before traveling to Shepherdstown, W.Va., to play Shepherd on Saturday, April 30.
