KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Natasha Sheehy (Tempe, Australia/MLC School) won a pair of events and joined Kutztown University's top 10 in the 500-yard freestyle, while Annamarie Rodier (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) won the 1000-yard freestyle with a program top 10 time as the Golden Bears fell to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival Millersville, 142-101, Saturday afternoon at the Keystone Natatorium.

Kutztown won 6-of-13 events overall and received five PSAC cut times in the process.

Rodier moved just ahead of Sheehy into seventh on KU's all-time top 10 in the 1000 free with a winning time of 10:52.24. Sheehy previously set the seventh-fastest time in school history with a 10:57.30 in the season-opening meet at Shippensburg, Sept. 28. Rodier led start-to-finish in a great battle against the Marauders' Claire Weaver. Both competitors swam PSAC cut times, but Kutztown's (4-4) talented freshman outlasted Weaver by just under seven seconds in the end.

Sheehy secured the 200 free win in a PSAC qualifying time of 2:00.41, before topping Rodier for the victory in the 500 free with a time of 5:18.58. Both Sheehy and Rodier (5:23.58) set PSAC times, but it was Sheehy going into the KU top 10 in her second event this season with the ninth-best time in school history.

Frannie Pease-Wingenter (Goodyear, Ariz./Millennium), another member of Kutztown's impressive rookie class, won the 100 backstroke to open Saturday's meet. Pease-Wingenter out-touched Millersville's Kristen Maile to triumph by little more than half a second (1:03.48 to 1:04.01).

Last year's PSAC silver medalist in the 200 back, Gracie McKee (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown), continued her prowess in the event with a triumph against the Marauders in a PSAC qualifying time of 2:09.61. Jade Ware (Easton, Pa./Wilson Area) also got into the win column for KU in the 200 breaststroke (2:37.20).

Posting runner-up finishes for the Maroon and Gold were Ana Soto (Hamburg, N.J./Vernon Township) in the 100 free (56.43), Rodier in the 500 free and the 800 free relay team of McKee, Rodier, Soto and Sheehy (8:08.57).

Kutztown will take two weeks to prep for the Franklin & Marshall Invitational, Nov. 18-20, in Lancaster, Pa.
