The Golden Bears (9-7 overall, 3-2 PSAC) won in straight sets at Lock Haven on Friday night and have now won three of their last four PSAC matches after losing their first one.
Adrianna Derstine (Barto, Pa./Boyertown) was one kill shy of tying her season-best, finishing with 22. She recorded a season-high 20 digs.
Sadie Doss (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) tallied 16 kills and 12 digs.
Gianna Agosti (Nesquehoning, Pa./Marian Catholic) led the defense with 26 digs.
Lexi Morrow (Landisburg, Pa./West Perry) had a career-high 50 assists, adding 13 digs and four kills.
Taylor Malone (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) contributed 13 digs.
Grace Ingram (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) finished with five kills and four blocks.
After dropping the opening set, KU answered the call and won the next three and now sit in a tie for second place in the East Division, a half game behind East Stroudsburg, which plays on the road at Lock Haven tonight at 7 p.m.
Kutztown will finally host its first PSAC match of the regular season when it welcomes Millersville to Keystone Arena next Friday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m.
