Box Score KUTZTOWN, Pa. – It was an exciting week for Kutztown University women's volleyball head coach
John Gump. Three days after announcing his retirement at the end of this season, Gump earned his 400th career victory at the helm for KU, as his team took care of business and defeated Lock Haven 3-1 Friday night in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division action at Keystone Arena.

The Golden Bears (7-9 overall, 2-2 PSAC East) are back to .500 in the conference standings and sit in a tie for fourth place overall. Scores of the match were 25-19, 25-20, 22-25, 25-16.

Kutztown won the opening two sets in somewhat of an easy fashion, by six and five points respectively. But the Bald Eagles (2-12, 0-4) fought back to take the third set to stay alive. KU then, erased a 15-14 deficit and scored the match's final 11 of 12 points to claim the match victory.

Three Maroon and Gold players finished with double-digit kills, led by 14 from
Sophia Basler (Dover, Del./Smyrna), 12 by
Erin Patterson (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) and 11 from
Lauren Jackson (Stafford, Va./Mountain View). Patterson and Jackson combined for seven blocks and Basler totaled 12 digs.
Sydney Wilson (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) had 21 digs and five assists.
Lexi Morrow (Landisburg, Pa./West Perry) contributed 34 assists and 12 digs.
Gianna Agosti (Nesquehoning, Pa./Marian Catholic) tallied 14 digs.
Grace Ingram (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) recorded two kills and five blocks.

Kutztown hosts Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., looking to go one game over .500 in the conference.
