EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. -- Gracie McKee (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) picked up two more wins in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke, while Keelie Walker (York, Pa./York Suburban) was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle during Friday night's double dual against PSAC foes East Stroudsburg and Cal U. The Golden Bears fell to the host Warriors 113-69 and dropped a close battle to the Vulcans, 103-87.

Kutztown almost pulled off a win in the opening 200 medley relay, as McKee, Charlotte Owens (Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg), Jocelyn Seidt (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) and Walker put forth a 1:58.41, just 1.4 seconds back of Cal U. McKee put the Bears out in front with a 28.21 50 back split to lead off and Walker tried to close the gap as the anchor, posting an event-best 25.87 50 free split, but it wasn't quite enough.

McKee notched her first win of the night in the 200 free with a season-fast 2:02.56. The junior from Boyertown, Pa., pulled away steadily and held a 3.3 second advantage over Cal's Rachel Kennedy at the finish.

Walker claimed a thrilling 50 free by out-touching Cal's Megan Beam. The margin of victory was four-hundredths of a second with Walker's 26.71 besting Beam's 26.75. East Stroudsburg's Naihomy Garcia was in the mix as well, finishing in 26.83.

For the second straight meet, McKee put down a PSAC qualifying time in the 100 back. This time, she improved by one full second to win her second event of the night in 1:00.04 and move ahead of Nikki Hinsdale (1:00.94) for sixth-place on Kutztown's all-time top 10 list.

Emmarose DeCaro (Apex, N.C./Apex) was the runner-up in the 100 free, just missing out on the win by .74 seconds with a 59.66. ESU's Garcia won in 58.92.

Walker added to her strong night with a second-place finish in a closely-contested 100 breaststroke. The York, Pa., native found herself in a three-way fight with a pair of swimmers from the host Warriors. Walker finished in 1:14.21, right between winner Julia Harnish (1:13.70) and third-place Avery Fohring (1:14.74).

Kutztown's dual record dropped to 1-2 with the pair of setbacks. They won't have to wait long for a chance to rebound as the same three teams come to the Keystone Natatorium for another double dual Saturday beginning at noon.
