NEW CASTLE, Del. -- Kutztown honored senior Molly Agnello (Stroudsburg, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) prior to the start of play Sunday at the Bud Whitman Memorial and came away with similar results to Saturday, defeating Chestnut Hill, Felician and Wilmington (Del.) before dropping matches to Mount St. Mary's and Caldwell.

The Golden Bears (6-4) rode a 221 from sophomore Chloe Sromovski (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./G.A.R. Memorial) to an 868-768 win over Chestnut Hill in the opening match.

For the second time in as many days, KU and Felician went down to the wire. After an 19-pin victory Saturday, the Maroon and Gold snuck by with a six-pin triumph Sunday, 826-820. Ashley Fister (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) provided a team-high 183, while Agnello followed with a 181.

Madison Lund (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) (205) and Sromovski (200) each rolled 200 games and Agnello added a 196 as KU beat Wilmington for the second time this weekend, 876-767.

Despite its highest-scoring match of the day, the Golden Bears couldn't quite keep pace with Mount St. Mary's, dropping their first match of the day 1028-927. Agnello paced KU with a 202, with Lund at 197 and Rachel Wagner (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Depew) 185.

Sromovski was back in the 200s for the third time in five matches against Caldwell, putting forth a 212, but the Cougars held on for a 989-900 victory.

Sromovski finished eighth in the individual standings with a five-game total of 948, for a 189.6 average. Agnello was 10th with a 183.2 average (916 over five games) and Lund 12th at 180.6 (903 over five games).

Kutztown placed fourth of six teams in the traditional portion of the tournament with 4,397 total pins (175.9 average).

The Golden Bears will compete in the Mount Shootout next Saturday and Sunday at Terrace Lanes in Frederick, Md.
