THURSDAY RESULTS

YORK, Pa. -- Kutztown University women's swimming set six season-best times and had a best finish of 10th in the 400-yard medley relay, Thursday, as action continued at the 2020 PSAC Championships inside Graham Aquatic Center.

With two days down at the championships, the Golden Bears are 10th of 12 in the team standings with 172 points.

Junior Lindsay Brenneman (Dover, Pa./Dover) was the lone Kutztown representative in an individual final during the night session, qualifying for the 200 freestyle 'B' final after posting a season-best 1:56.47 in morning preliminary heats. Brenneman's time ranked 11th in prelims.

The Dover, Pennsylvania, native placed 14th in her final with a time of 1:57.92, contributing 13 points to KU's team score.

Kutztown's 400 medley relay team of Emmarose DeCaro (Apex, N.C./Apex), Charlotte Owens (Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg), Brenneman and Keelie Walker (York, Pa./York Suburban) took 10th in a season-best 4:07.00, while the 200 free relay comprised of Owens, Cara Green (Hanover, Pa./South Western), Megan Hayward (Meshoppen, Pa./Tunkhannock) and Jocelyn Seidt (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) recorded a 1:47.28 to finish 11th.

Owens' 50 split to lead off the 200 free relay marked a new collegiate personal-best 26.62.

All four Maroon and Gold swimmers in morning preliminaries set season- or personal-best times.

Seidt established a new personal best 1:01.59 in the 100 butterfly, tying for the last qualifying spot in the 'C' final with Bloomsburg's Julie Marchioni. The duo had a swim-off during the night session, where Seidt went even quicker and moved into ninth in program history with a 1:00.86. Unfortunately, Marchioni out-touched Seidt to claim the final qualifying spot with a 1:00.75.

Along with Brenneman's season-best time in the 200 free prelims, DeCaro recorded a season-best 2:00.46 to place 31st and Hayward was 35th in a personal-best 2:00.78.

The Golden Bears are back in the pool Friday morning beginning at 10 a.m. for preliminaries of the 500 freestyle, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke and 200 butterfly.
