RESULTS

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- The Kutztown University women's swimming team had six different swimmers finish first in events in highlighting a 125-90 dual-meet victory over Lock Haven University on the road in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action Saturday.
 
The win was the eighth this season and fifth in a row for the Golden Bears (8-2 overall) in duals, who now have the most wins in a season since the 2010-11 campaign.
 
Seniors Claire Frank (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) and Linnea Pierson (Green Township, N.J./Newton), sophomores Lindsay Brenneman (Dover, Pa./Dover) and Alison McLaughlin (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) and freshmen Emmarose DeCaro (Apex, N.C./Apex) and Charlotte Owens (Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg) all won at least one event, with Brenneman taking first place in both the 1650 Free (PSAC-existing time) and the 100 Fly.
 
Frank, who has a PSAC-qualifying time in the 100 back, earned a mark of 1:03.90. Her classmate Pierson won the 400 IM in a time of 5:09.65
 
Owens and DeCaro finished first in the 200 Breast and 200 Free respectively, while McLaughlin placed first in the 500 Free at 5:34.11. Freshman Megan Weik (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) swam a season-best time of 5:42.77 in the 500 Free joining McLaughlin in the event.
 
Senior Brigid Grant (Southampton, Pa./Archbishop Wood), in her final regular season meet, also posted a personal-best time of 1:06.27 in the 100 Fly, as KU went 1-2-3 with Brenneman, Frank and Grant. Fellow senior Katerina Parowski (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) placed third in both the 100 and 200 Free, and also was a member of the Kutztown 'A' 200 Medley Relay team. Jocelyn Seidt (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) also set her season-best in the 50 free (28.45) as the lead off in the 200 free relay
 
Kutztown will have about 10 days off before its biggest competition of the season, the PSAC Championships in York, Pa., beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 20, and going until Saturday, Feb. 23.
