KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The 13th-ranked Kutztown University football team is off to its best start in program history at 10-0, and one more week of going 1-0 will bring home a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) title. The Golden Bears host fellow unbeaten and eighth-ranked Slippery Rock (10-0) on Saturday, Nov. 16, in the PSAC Championship game. Kickoff on Senior Day is set for 12:05 p.m. from Andre Reed Stadium.
Â
The Golden Bears and The Rock sport matching 10-0 records coming into a game that will decide not only the conference title, but almost certainly the top seed in Super Region One ahead of the NCAA Division II Championship. The super region's top seed will earn a First Round bye. Kutztown is making its second PSAC Championship Game appearance in the last four seasons and is hosting the title game for the first time since 2011, when it won its lone PSAC crown, 21-14, over Slippery Rock. KU now has double-digit victories for just the third time in program history.
Â
The game is scheduled to be broadcast live on PCN for television providers in Pennsylvania that carry PCN, streamed on the PSAC Network and can be heard on KU radio via the links above.
Â
Tickets can be purchased at the main gate on game day. General admission is $10, senior citizens (ages 65+) and students are $5, while PSAC students with a valid ID will be admitted free. Beast of the East rally towels will be handed out to KU students while supplies last.
Â

Jim Clements and his staff will honor 15 seniors. Those student-athletes include

Â
Redshirt junior quarterback
Eric Nickel (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan), starting in place of a banged up DiGalbo, finished with 205 yards passing, 57 yards rushing and three total touchdowns. Running backs

Â
KU's nationally renowned rushing defense, which came into Saturday ranked 17th in NCAA Division II with just 92.9 yards allowed per game, held true to form. Millersville gained just 79 yards on 30 attempts --the seventh time this season an opponent has failed to crack the century mark against the Golden Bears. Kutztown outgained the Marauders 517-184 and ran for 307 yards. Cox-Cowan took sole possession of KU's all-time pass breakups record with a pair for the 48th and 49th of his career. Chisholm-Wilkerson had a team-high six tackles, was in on a sack with Trahan and finished with 1.5 tackles for loss.

Kutztown has allowed no more than 28 points (to Cal U in week two) in any game this season and haven't allowed more than 17 points in a single-game for the last six weeks. KU ranks second in the PSAC in scoring defense (15.7 points per game), third in total defense (291.1 yards per game), second in rushing defense (91.5 yards per game) and fifth in passing defense (199.6 yards per game).

Â
It should be a game for ages at Andre Reed Stadium and one of the more important games played on campus this century.
