LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's swim team had eight individual event winners and another relay win as KU earned its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) victory of the 2019-20 season, 130-106 over Lock Haven University Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Bears (2-2 overall, 2-1 PSAC) have now won three of their last four meets.
Lindsay Brenneman (Dover, Pa./Dover) finished first in three different events, the 200 fly, 100 free and 100 fly to pace the KU lineup.
Charlotte Owens (Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg) touched the wall first in both 100 and 200 breast.
Megan Hayward (Meshoppen, Pa./Tunkhannock),
Emmarose DeCaro (Apex, N.C./Apex) and
Jocelyn Seidt (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) also won gold in one respective event each. Seidt, Owens, Brenneman and
Carley Wise (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) also were victorious in the 200 medley relay.
Kutztown returns home for the first time since its home-opener Sept. 19, when it hosts Millersville in a PSAC meet on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. in Keystone Pool.
