Results

WILMINGTON, Del. – The Kutztown University women's bowling team won 3-of-5 matches on Saturday to improve its overall record to 5-5 after two days of competition at the D2/D3 Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Wilmington University.

Ella Luzzi (Spring Lake, N.J./Manasquan) led KU with a frame average of 18.1 pins per frame, but bowled in just 23 of Kutztown's 50 frames. Ashley Fister (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) and Dana Henry (Oakhurst, N.J./Ocean Township) were neck-and-neck for the second and third-highest frame averages for the Maroon and Gold, posting averages of 17.9 and 17.8, respectively.

The Golden Bears came out firing in their opening match, downing LIU Post 889-804 to begin the day. Following a loss to Saint Vincent College, KU dropped PSU Altoona 771-619 to move to 2-1. A defeat by Molloy College dropped the Maroon and Gold to 2-2, but a game Maroon and Gold squad salvaged a positive day with an 873-678 win over Bloomfield College.

Kutztown now turns its attention to tomorrow's tournament-style play on the final day of the D2/D3 Invite. The Golden Bears will have three best-of-seven baker matches on Sunday with their opponents to be determined.
