HUNTINGTON, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's swimming team had five different individuals record first-place finishes in a 119-82 meet victory over Juniata College Saturday afternoon.
Different from regular meets that KU competes in, the pool was a 25 short course meter pool, longer than the short course yard pool that is the norm.
Claire Frank (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus),
Lindsay Brenneman (Dover, Pa./Dover),
Katerina Parowski (Altoona, Pa./Altoona),
Jocelyn Seidt (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) and
Keelie Walker (York, Pa./York Suburban) all recorded first-place finishes for KU. Frank swam at a time of 31.65 in the 50-back, and also swam first in the 100-free at 1:03.30, while leading the 200-medley relay team of Walker, Brenneman and Parowski.
Brenneman took first in the 100-fly at 1:09.41, Seidt won the 200-free in a time of 2:22.77, Walker placed first in the 50-breast at 37.53 and Parowski finished in first in the 50-free in 29.10.
Charlotte Owens (Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg) finished in second place in both the 50-breast and 100-breast.
Emmarose DeCaro (Apex, N.C./Apex) placed second in the 50-back at 33.39.
Kutztown begins a three-day event at the F&M Invitational on Friday, Nov. 16.
