KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University baseball team looks to return to the win column as it enters a weekend Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) series against West Chester University. KU hosts the Golden Rams in a doubleheader this Friday, April 14 at North Campus Field. The two teams then head to WCU's Serpico Stadium to finish the series with another doubleheader on Saturday, April 15. The first pitch on both days is set for 1 p.m.
The Golden Bears (12-17, 3-9 PSAC) enter the series eighth in the PSAC East with 16 matchups remaining in the season.
KU is coming off of a tough setback against East Stroudsburg in a doubleheader sweep on Monday.
Nick Lafferty (Croydon, Pa./Archbishop Wood) went 3-for-5 with two RBI on the day, notching the Golden Bears' sole run in the nightcap with his second home run of the season.

Bo Rottet (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua) has paced the team on offense this season, batting .317 with a team-high 32 hits and 22 runs in his sophomore year.
Joe Santospago (Doylestown, Pa./Archbishop Wood (Mercer County C.C.)) tops the Golden Bears with four home runs and 24 RBI. Freshman
Collin Bishop (Laurel Springs, N.J./Highland Regional) is making a notable impression in his debut season, hitting .305 while third on the team with 25 hits and 12 RBI.
Anthony Atticks (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township (Harford C.C.)) and
Doug Conrad (West Chester, Pa./Downingtown West (Clarion)) are leading KU's pitching staff on this season. Atticks has seen success on the mound, currently 1-2 with a 3.62 ERA over 27.1 innings. Conrad sits at 3-1 on the season with 36 strikeouts over 36.1 innings.
Mike Kammerer (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic), currently 1-4, is looking to return to the win column after a tough setback to East Stroudsburg on April 10. Over 29.2 innings pitched, Kammerer is posting a 4.85 ERA.
Ryan Clow (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) leads the KU bullpen with his impressive performances on the mound this season, currently with a 1.69 ERA over 16 innings. Freshman
Gavilan Fogarty-Harnish (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) has also had remarkable feats in his debut season with the Golden Bears. He is currently 2-0 with a 0.49 ERA and 11 strikeouts over his 18.1 innings on the mound.
Kurtis Hultz (Birdsboro, Pa./Daniel Boone (Cecil College)), currently 1-1, was the featured pitcher in game two of Kutztown's doubleheader Monday. He closed the nightcap without surrendering a single run in three innings, striking out six batters. He has also started for the Maroon and Gold in five games this season.
The KU pitching staff is tied for second in the PSAC with 228 strikeouts.
West Chester (17-6, 9-3) is currently first in the PSAC. The team is coming off of a doubleheader against PSAC rival Millersville Sunday. WCU swept the series, defeating the Marauders 6-2 in the opener and 16-4 in the nightcap. West Chester has won nine of its last 12 games.
The Golden Rams are led on offense by Shane Dressler and his .444 batting average. He has notched 25 runs on the season. Dressler and Drew Jarmuz are tied with a team-leading 18 RBI.
Mike Cipolla leads the WCU pitching staff, currently 2-2 in the PSAC with a 1.63 ERA over 27.2 innings.
The Golden Bears split their season-series with West Chester in the 2016 season, with each team earning one victory at home.
Following KU's Saturday doubleheader, the team heads to Syracuse, N.Y. for a non-conference doubleheader against LeMoyne on Monday, April 17. The first pitch of game one is set for 1 p.m.
