NEW CASTLE, Del. – The Kutztown University women's bowling team recorded a 4-1 record on day two of the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Wilmington University.
The Golden Bears are now 7-3 through 10 matches and are in second place overall out of 12 teams in the tournament.
KU won its first three matches of the day beginning with an 883-745 victory against New Jersey City.
The Maroon and Gold followed up the opening match win with an 833-525 triumph over Penn State Altoona, and then a slim 849-829 win vs. Belmont Abbey.
Kutztown dropped its next match against a ranked opponent, falling 894-870 to No. 15 Adelphi.
But KU ended the day strong, coming out victorious in its last match, 962-818 against LIU Post.
Jenn Fitts (Birdsboro, Pa./Twin Valley) had the high game, bowling a 216 in the fifth match.
Felicia Trievel (Reading, Pa./Wilson) and
Keanna Delp (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) also each bowled at least one 200 game with Trievel recording a 214 in the third match and Delp rolling a 203 and a 210 in two of the three matches that she participated.
Kutztown is back on the lanes in the third and final day, tomorrow, Sunday, Dec. 3 against Adelphi at 9:45 a.m.
