Felicia Trievel (Reading, Pa./Wilson) and
Jenn Fitts (Birdsboro, Pa./Twin Valley) posted the best two games of the day for the Kutztown University women's bowling team. They each posted 200+ games as KU finished off the second day of the ninth-annual KU Invitational winning one of its six matches at Hiester Lanes in Reading.
The Golden Bears dropped its first two matches of the day to Youngstown State (882-975) and ninth-ranked Monmouth (835-925), but rallied with a strong win over Medaille, 856-725.
KU then took on No. 8 Central Missouri, but faced a team that posted a four-digit score in a 1008-877 KU setback. Kutztown faced its third nationally-ranked team of the day in No. 14 Wisconsin-Whitewater, but fell 982-782. KU closed out Saturday with an 841-805 loss to Bethune-Cookman to finish the day 1-5.
For the day, Trievel bowled the best match of the day for Kutztown. She opened Saturday with a 236 against Youngstown State. She led the way for Kutztown with a 187.3 traditional average.
Fitts bowled the second-highest match of the day for KU at 205 in the finale vs. Bethune Cookman. She averaged 184.2 in her six starts.
