KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's swimming team shined on Senior Day Saturday, taking down Lock Haven University 144-112 in its home-finale at Keystone Pool.
The Golden Bears could have won an additional two events but chose to decline team scoring in those events. KU improves to 4-1 on the year with two dual-meets and an invitational left in its regular season.
Claire Frank (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) won all four events she was a part of. She won individually in the 1000-free, 200-back and 200-IM, and was the final leg of KU's winning 200-free relay team to end the meet.
Madi Bleiler (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) won three events for Kutztown - the 100-back and two relays (200-free and 200-medley). She also finished third in the 200-back.
Bridget Perdoch (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) won the 100-breast and was part of the winning 200-medley relay team. She also finished second in the 200-breast in an existing Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) time of 2:36.83.
Kara Jones (Greencastle, Pa./James Buchanan) won the 200-fly in an existing PSAC mark of 2:17.77, and posted the best time in the 100-fly in another PSAC mark of 1:02.32. Jones was also part of both winning relay teams for her four wins of the day.
Katerina Parowski (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) won the 50- and 100-free, with her 50-free time of 25.75 ranking as an existing PSAC mark. She rounded out the relay winners as a member of both winning relay teams.
Stephanie Dean (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) (200-free) also won for Kutztown.
The Golden Bears look ahead to Millersville University on the road on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m.
