The tournament is broken up into two separate days and rankings. Saturday was only traditional matches, while Sunday will feature baker format. The team with the top win-loss record during each day determines the winner.

Kutztown (44-29) started off the day with a 945-780 victory over Saint Peter's before dropping a match to #19 Saint Francis (N.Y.), 1022-897.

The Golden Bears finished out the day strong, winning their final three matches of the day. They defeated Caldwell twice (919-815, 929-764) and got revenge against Saint Francis with a 946-865 win.

Senior
Kayla Maselkevich (Drums, Pa./Hazleton Area) was named to the All-Tournament Team and earned MVP honors for day one of the tournament, bowling a tournament-high 984 in her five combined traditional matches. Her highest score of the day was a 234 in KU's opening win over Saint Peter's. Maselkevich also went over the 200-mark with a 220 in the final match of the day.

Four other bowlers earned All-Tournament recognition, with two of them being from KU. Seniors
Amanda Wilson (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) and
Taylor Strothmann (Maywood, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) each were named to the All-Tournament Team and posted the third and fifth highest combined scores of the day, respectively.

Wilson had a 952 total and had two games over 200 on the day. Strothmann finished up the day with a score of 931 and had three games over 190.

Senior
Lauren Stamm (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) led the Golden Bears with a 208 in its setback against St. Francis. KU posted five scores of 200 or more in day one of competition.

The Golden Bears continue competition at the KU Allentown Tournament tomorrow morning, Feb. 7, at 9 a.m.
