MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Kutztown University men's basketball team is a victory away from winning the school's sixth Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division championship after Saturday's 80-55 road-victory against Mansfield University at Decker Gymnasium.
Â
After Saturday's conference matchups, Kutztown is still tied atop the East standings with No. 21 West Chester University (21-4, 17-4) after WCU picked up an 81-63 road-victory over Millersville University Saturday afternoon.
Â
With the win on Saturday, Kutztown clinched a first-round bye and will host a PSAC Quarterfinal game on Tuesday, March 1 at 7 p.m.
Â
It also means that the Kutztown/West Chester season-finale matchup on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Keystone Arena will be for the East title, the No. 1 seed in the PSAC Tournament and the chance to host the PSAC Final Four.Â
