HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Kutztown University women's swimming team had a successful outing on Saturday afternoon, defeating Juniata College by a score of 147-86 inside Binder Natatorium.
 
Sophomores Claire Frank (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) and Katerina Parowski (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area), along with junior Bridget Perdoch (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury), all posted two individual wins for KU on Saturday. Frank captured wins in the 100- and 200-back, while Parowski won the 50- and 200-free. Perdoch was the winner in both the 100- and 200-breast.
 
Redshirt-sophomore Stephanie Dean (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) picked up a win for the Golden Bears in the 100-free with a time of 1:07.55, while freshman Carley Wise (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) was second in the event in 1:08.73. Wise also finished second to Parowski in the 50-free.
 
Gab Louden (Crum Lynne, Pa./Ridley) was victorious in the 800-free for KU in 10:05.65, while Olivia Kieley (Leola, Pa./Conestoga Valley) posted a second-place finish (10:58.42).
 
Junior Kara Jones (Greencastle, Pa./James Buchanan) was another individual winner on Saturday for the Golden Bears as she won the 200-fly in 2:36.20. KU also claimed the win in the 200-medley relay with a time of 2:11.25. The winning relay team consisted of Madi Bleiler (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern), Perdoch, Jones and Frank.
 
The Golden Bears return to action on Friday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m. as they compete in day one of the Franklin & Marshall Invitational in Lancaster.
