EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. – No. 17 Kutztown University went 1-2 on Sunday with a win over Caldwell to cap the day as the Golden Bear women's bowling team finished in 19th place on the road this weekend at the three-day FDU Jamboree.
The Golden Bears (10-17) went 5-7 over the weekend to finish in 19th place. KU averaged 171 per game over 55 games.
KU opened the day with a 971-875 loss to sixth-ranked Sam Houston State. In best-of-seven baker matches, KU fell to Bethune Cookman, 4-2, and rallied with a 4-2 win over Caldwell. KU posted a day-high 232 in the fifth game vs. Caldwell.
Jenn Fitts (Birdsboro, Pa./Twin Valley) led Kutztown with a team-high average of 192.8 – 16th-best in the field.
Angela Kozma (Beachwood, N.J./Toms River South) followed at 177.8,
Jess Garzio (Ewing, N.J./Ewing) at 173.0 and
Felicia Trievel (Reading, Pa./Wilson) at 169.4.
Kutztown returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 5, at the one-day Chestnut Hill Duals.
