Friday ResultsALTOONA, Pa. – Kutztown University went 4-0 on Friday as the 16th-ranked KU women's bowling team stands in second place after the first day of the Red Flash Invitational, hosted by Saint Francis University (PA).
The Golden Bears (33-26) took down four unranked teams on Friday. They opened the day with a narrow 909-885 win over Mount Aloysius College, and went on to defeat New Jersey City (882-758), Pitt-Bradford (813-756) and Felician (961-771).
Kutztown bowled an 889 during its bye round to stand in second place in total pinfall. Saint Francis (PA) leads the way at 4,905, followed by KU at 4,448. The duo represents the only schools to go undefeated on Friday.
Action resumes on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m.
