ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Redshirt freshman linebacker
Tajier Jefferson (East Orange, N.J./Queen of Peace) led the KU defense in a shutout victory over Cheyney last Saturday, earning him his first career Athlete of the Week honor from the PSAC. Jefferson stopped Cheyney runners at the line all day and was the premier defender for KU. He had a team-high 11 tackles with four tackles-for-loss and a half-sack. This season, Jefferson is second in the PSAC at 1.8 tackles-for-loss per game.
Â
THREE-HEADED MONSTER: Last game against Millersville, three KU running backs rushed for more than 100 yards for the first time in school history.
Terry Williams (West Orange, N.J./Cosby (Phoenix College)) (126),
James Wah Jr. (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) (104) and
Darrell Scott (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) (102) all eclipsed the 100-yard mark and combined for 332 of Kutztown's 383 rushing yards. It was the most rushing yards as a team for Kutztown since it ran for 384 at Saint Anselm in 2011.
Â
AIR MAIL: Kutztown leads the PSAC and ranks 11th in Division II in passing offense at 336.8 yards per game. It is the second-highest average in program history, trailing only the school-record of 354.5 per game from 2012. For total offense, KU ranks third in the PSAC and 21st in Division II at 491.3 per game, on pace to break the 2012 school-record of 481.1.
Â

He ranks second with 343.5 yards per game of total offense and third with 12 passing touchdowns and 19.5 points responsible for per game.

Â
RECORDS FOR REED: Kodi Reed (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) became Kutztown's all-time leader in career receiving yards in Week 2 at Indiana (PA). His career-high 153 yards moved him past the 24-year record of 2,118 previously held by KU Hall of Famer Mark Steinmeyer (1988-91). Reed is currently at 2,309 career yards, 43rd in PSAC history. He is also tied for KU's all-time receiving touchdowns record of 23, held by Steinmeyer and Josh Smith. Reed ranks fourth at KU in career receptions (161).
Â
KEEP MOVING FORWARD: KU's offensive line and running backs have done a great job of not allowing negative-yard plays. In tackles for loss allowed, KU is the best in the PSAC and sixth-best in Division II with 3.50 against per game. The Division II lead is 3.0 per game.
Â
STREAKS: Kodi Reed (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) and
Kellen Williams (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) hold two of the longest active streaks in the PSAC for consecutive games with a catch. Reed has caught a pass in all 37 of his career games, the longest active streak in the PSAC and third-longest streak in school history. Williams has a streak of 15 games, the seventh-longest active streak in the PSAC. Reed can tie the second-longest streak in school history on Saturday, tying him with Trevor Smith (2001-04).
