ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The 18th-ranked Kutztown University women's bowling team opened its inaugural Golden Bear Classic at Parkway Lanes on Friday. KU went 3-2 in its five baker matches and stands in fifth place in total pinfall in the 10-team tournament.
The Golden Bears (50-37) won their 50th match of the year with three wins on Friday. KU opened the day with a 32-pin setback to second-ranked Fairleigh Dickinson University (935-967), but responded with a comfortable 862-619 win over New Jersey City.
