ALTOONA, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's bowling team wrapped up the Red Flash Invitational on Sunday with a 2-1 record, including an overtime win over Franklin Pierce in the weekend finale to finish in third place.
 
The Golden Bears (47-35) finished the weekend by winning 12 of 14 matches over the three-day invite. KU opened Sunday with a 4-2 setback to Franklin Pierce, responded with a 4-3 win over Cheyney, and ended the day with its 4-3.5 tiebreaking win over Franklin Pierce in a five-frame baker tiebreaker.
 
Kutztown's Dakota May was named to the Red Flash Invite All-Tournament Team for her efforts on the first two days of competition.
 
The Golden Bears host the inaugural Golden Bear Classic on Feb. 13-15 in Allentown, Pa. at Parkway Lanes.
