KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University field hockey team won its eighth game in a row with a 3-0 victory over Seton Hill on Senior Day to clinch a berth in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) playoffs.

Kutztown (12-3, 7-1 PSAC) earns a spot in the PSAC playoffs for the first time since 2009. Seton Hill (0-13, 0-7) fought hard throughout the whole contest and managed to stay even with KU through the first 53 minutes of play.

The Golden Bears got on the board first at the 53:42 mark in the second half on a goal by Morgan Aldinger (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen), her fourth of the season. Courtney Ueberroth (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) recorded the assist on the play, her third of the season.

KU scored again 38 seconds later when senior forward Anna Behm (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) caged her Division II-leading 21st goal of the season. Behm fired the ball towards the right side of the goal and it deflected off a Seton Hill player and into the goal. She extended her school-record to 10 consecutive games with a goal.

Senior defender Rayann Fink (Fleetwood, Pa./Fleetwood) scored the final goal for Kutztown on a feed from Behm at the 68:04 mark. Behm rifled a pass to Fink following a corner and Fink launched it into the goal. It was Fink's second goal of the season and Behm's eighth assist.

Behm currently leads the nation in goals and points, and is also tied for second in the PSAC with her eight assists. She now has 126 career points, tied for third in KU history with Shannon Daggett (1994-97).

Behm's 21 goals are tied for second in KU single-season history and her 50 points put her in sole possession of second place for points in a season, trailing only Lisa Marrella (1986-89), who had 71 in 1988. Behm is one of 29 players in PSAC history with 50 or more points in a season.

Senior Kayla Denlinger (Manheim, Pa./Hempfield) recorded her second shutout of the season and fourth of her career. She recorded one save in the game for Kutztown.

The KU defense was spectacular once again, recording its fifth shutout of the season. The defense has allowed one goal or less in nine of the 15 games this season.

Fink had a phenomenal defensive save for KU at the 59:40 mark in the second half. Molly Childress of Seton Hill fired in a shot that was destined to end up in the back of the cage, but Fink stopped the shot and recorded her fourth defensive save of the season. It was the 18th of her career, third all-time in KU history.

Kutztown outshot Seton Hill 20-4 in the game, including a 16-1 advantage in the second half. The Golden Bears recorded 12 corners compared to just two for Seton Hill. Kutztown's 12 wins this season are tied for ninth-most in school history.

The Maroon and Gold go for their ninth-consecutive win on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 4 p.m. in a pivotal game against Millersville at Chryst Field. KU will enter the contest in second place in the PSAC standings with a 7-1 record, with Millersville right behind at 6-1.
