SERIES HISTORY: Saturday marks the 67th meeting between the Golden Bears and the Wolves. Kutztown holds a 20-year winning streak in the series, the longest active streak for Kutztown over an opponent. Cheyney last defeated Kutztown in 1993 (30-19), but Cheyney has not won at University Field since homecoming in 1988 (17-14). Since 2010, Kutztown has won by an average margin of 38 points.
BROADCAST INFORMATION: The game will air live on PBS39 WLVT in the tri-state area, and on KUTV, which is Service Electric Channel 24, Hometown Utilicom Channel 28 in Kutztown and eastern Berks County, and Service Electric Channel 266 in the Lehigh Valley. Mike Miller and Mike Iannucci return for the 2014 season and have the call for KUTV. It will re-air on KUTV on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m., and Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 12 p.m.

www.ustream.tv/channel/ku-live IN HONOR OF ANDRE: Kutztown University's stadium, currently known as University Field, will be named in honor of Golden Bear alumnus and Pro Football Hall of Famer Andre Reed '05 at a ceremony at the facility on Oct. 18. The Kutztown University Council of Trustees approved the name Andre Reed Stadium at its Sept. 18 meeting. In honor of its 78-year history, the field at the facility will retain the name University Field, and will be referred to officially as University Field at Andre Reed Stadium.
COACH TO CURE MD: Head coach
Jim Clements will join over 10,000 college football coaches from around the country this Saturday, Sept. 27 in support of the American Football Coaches Associations' (AFCA) Coach To Cure Muscular Dystrophy program. AFCA members will wear a Coach To Cure MD logo patch on the sidelines, and college football fans are asked to donate to research projects supported by Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD). Football fans can donate to Duchenne muscular dystrophy research by either going online to www.CoachtoCureMD.org or by texting the word CURE to 90999 (a $5 donation will automatically be added to your next phone bill).
THE BARTON BUNCH: Chad Barton (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) has thrown a PSAC-leading 11 touchdowns, tied for second in Division II, with just one interception. He is one of two quarterbacks in the PSAC (Matt Soltes - ESU) and four in the country with 11 or more TD passes. His 89 completions and 153 attempts also lead the PSAC, and he is second with 1,025 passing yards.
ICE THAT ARM: R-Jr. QB
Chad Barton (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) has thrown 153 passes this season, the most in the PSAC and 27 more than any other quarterback in the league. He is also fourth in Division II at 29.67 completions per game and is on pace for a school-record 326 completions this season. The KU single-season record is 284 by Kevin Morton in 2012. In his first career start, Barton set the school-record with 64 pass attempts vs. Slippery Rock. The previous record of 63 attempts was held by Kevin Morton from 2012 against Shippensburg.
FIRST HALF NUMBERS: Chad Barton (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns in the first half against Gannon, the most in a half for KU since Kevin Morton threw for 374 yards and five touchdowns against Saint Anselm in the 2012 season-opener.
SAM I AM: Senior
Sam Dougan (Secane, Pa./Ridley) is a two-time All-PSAC MLB and leads the team with 27 tackles. He has 221 career tackles for 13th in school history and he currently ranks ninth on the PSAC active career leaderboard and 31st in Division II. Cheyney's Isaiah Fleming leads all active players in Division II with 366 career tackles and is second in the PSAC this season at 13 per game.
STRETCHING THE FIELD: Kutztown has had 14 offensive plays this season go for 20 or more yards, 13 of which have been through the air. WR
Anthony Kelly (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area) has a team-leading seven 'big plays', five of which went for touchdowns. On the ground,
Darrell Scott (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) recorded the team's longest rush of the season last week and the team's first run for more than 12 yards with his 35-yard touchdown run against Gannon.
SENSATIONAL SOPHOMORE: WR
Kellen Williams (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) hauled in a 78-yard catch-and-run touchdown last week at Gannon. It marked Kutztown's longest play from scrimmage since 2009. It highlighted a career-high 138-yard performance for Williams, who also had his second career multi-touchdown game.
PASS ATTACK: Dating back to 2011, Kutztown has thrown 30 or more pass attempts in 22 of its last 24 games.
EARLY LEAD: Kutztown has led at halftime in every game this season.
QUITE THE START: R-Jr. WR
Anthony Kelly (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area) has caught a Division II-leading seven touchdown passes and is sixth in the PSAC at 109 yards per game. He has surpassed his career total for touchdown catches through KU's first three games after catching four in 2013 and two in 2012. He is quickly moving his way up the KU career leaderboard with 13 touchdown catches for 13th all-time.
ENGLISH 101: Senior
English Peay (Philadelphia, Pa./George Washington) is a four-year starter at cornerback and has been Kutztown's No. 1 option for much of his career. He was an All-PSAC cornerback in 2012 and has recorded 194 career tackles and five interceptions. He hopes to be the 18th player in program history to record 200 career tackles, including fellow senior
Sam Dougan (Secane, Pa./Ridley) (221). Five teams in Division II currently have two players with 200+ career tackles, including PSAC program West Chester.
TURNOVER MARGIN: Kutztown is second in the PSAC and fourth in Division II with a +3 turnover margin. Bloomsburg leads the PSAC at +3.67. KU has forced 10 turnovers and is one of five teams in Division II with only one lost turnover.
4TH-DOWN DEFENSE: Kutztown opponents are 0-for-3 on fourth-down conversions. It is one of two teams in the PSAC (Slippery Rock) and 16 in Division II that have not allowed a successful fourth-down conversion attempt.
RAPID FIRE: Kutztown has run an average of 82.7 plays per game this season, the third-most in the PSAC. Shippensburg is first at 90.3, followed by Slippery Rock at 90. KU ran a season-high 91 plays against Slippery Rock and 89 vs. Indiana (PA). The most it ran last season was 89 (Clarion) and it ran more than 90 only one time in 2012 (91 vs. Saint Anselm). The school-record is believed to be 98 in 2007 against Southern Connecticut State.
GOOD HANDS: Kutztown is the only team in the PSAC and one of 10 in Division II that has not lost a fumble. Last season, KU lost five total fumbles (all by quarterbacks) for third in the PSAC and 13th in Division II.
TICK TOCK: Kutztown is third in the PSAC and is 45th in Division II with an average time of possession of 31:20 per game.
FEATURED FRESHMAN: WR
Nathan Hollander (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights) has led the team in receptions in each of KU's first three games this season. It is the second consecutive year that a freshman has led KU in catches in the team's first three games of the season. Hollander is third in the PSAC and seventh in Division II with 8.7 receptions per game.
100-CATCH CLUB: Kodi Reed (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) moved into 10th in school history last week with his 107th career catch. He is one of 12 players in school history with 100 career catches.
Brett Fox (Laureldale, Pa./Muhlenburg) has 93 catches as both players are chasing KU Hall of Famer Mark Steinmeyer's school-record 200 from 1988-91.
MULTIPLE PICKOFFS: Tyler Pratt (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) needed just two games to haul in two interceptions this season. He is one of five PSAC players with two interceptions. It took KU until the final game of the season last year to have a player haul in his second interception of the season, when
Zachary Delp (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) had two in the season-finale vs. Edinboro.
HAPPY 99TH BIRTHDAY: 2014 kicks off the 99th season of Kutztown University football. Beginning in 1895, Kutztown's all-time record in 798 games stands at 349-426-23 (.452).
