MILLSBORO, Del. – The 13th-ranked Kutztown University women's bowling team won four of its six matches on Friday afternoon at the UMES Hawks Classic, hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
 
The Golden Bears (23-14 overall) opened the day with a loss to the host, fifth-ranked Maryland Eastern Shore, 945-898. They responded by winning their next three matches with wins over 19th-ranked Delaware State (904-901), Howard (906-758) and New Jersey City (844-529). Following a loss to ninth-ranked Stephen F. Austin (771-921), Kutztown finished the day with a 946-875 win over Norfolk State and a 4-2 record on Friday.
 
The UMES Hawk Classic continues on Saturday, Nov. 15, as KU is scheduled t compete in six matches beginning at 8:30 a.m.
