HISTORICAL NIGHT: In last week's 74-0 win over Cheyney, the Golden Bears set the school-record for points scored in a game early in the fourth quarter, breaking the previous record of 67 from 1991 against Bloomsburg that stood for 23 years. The 74-point victory broke a 65-year school-record of 58 from a 58-0 victory over Trenton State in 1949.
THE BARTON BUNCH: Chad Barton (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) has thrown a PSAC-leading 15 touchdowns, tied for second in Division II, with just one interception. Defensively, Cheyney's 47 total yards marked the lowest for the Kutztown defense since 1998, when it allowed 93 to East Stroudsburg.
BURST ON THE SCENE: Last week against Cheyney, junior
Terry Williams (West Orange, N.J./Cosby) ran for four touchdowns and 180 yards, 166 in the second half. His four touchdowns were the most by a KU back since Stephen Gammage ran for a school-record five touchdowns in 2002 against Cheyney. Alec Rosenfeld (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) shined when called upon last week. Not only did not make all nine of his extra-point attempts, he made all three of his field goal attempts, including a career-best 44-yarder. It was the first three field goal game for a Golden Bear since Matt Dineen kicked three against C.W. Post in 2010. In the past 17 years, only one player has kicked a field goal 44 yards or longer (Matt Dineen vs. Cheyney in 2009). The school-record is 48 yards from 1994 and 1989.
