LONG ISLAND, N.Y. – The Kutztown University women's bowling team finished the Adelphi Invitational in third place Saturday, and
Christine Gordon (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) was named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Golden Bears went 2-3 on the day bringing their overall record to 63-35, and finished third overall with a total pin fall of 4435.
The Golden Bears fell to Adelphi (758-714) in their opening game, and then fell to St. Francis (Pa.) (788-771), before turning around to defeat Salem International (656-437) and St. Francis (N.Y.) (755-678). KU faced St. Francis (Pa.) again in their final game of the day, but fell to the Red Flash by 10 pins (835-825).
The Golden Bears who represented the Maroon and Gold during the second day of the Adelphi Invitational included:

Kayla Maselkevich (Drums, Pa./Hazleton Area), and
Lauren Stamm (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin).
Christine Gordon (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) was named to the All-Tournament Team. She led the Golden Bears with a 19.88 baker frame average of 48 frames.
Lauren Stamm (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) followed in second with a 19.29 baker frame average, trailed by
Brooke Bower (Camp Hill, PA/Cedar Cliff) with a 18.72 baker frame average.
The Golden Bears return to action when they travel to Brooklyn, N.Y., for the NEC Conference Meet #3.
