CHEYNEY, Pa. – Kutztown University was swept by both Clarion and Slippery Rock on the final day of a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Crossover Weekend hosted by Cheyney.
 
Against the Eagles, KU fell 25-10, 25-17 and 25-13.
 
Audrey Stringer (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) had six kills and two blocks to lead KU.  Brittany Harman (Hanover, PA/South Western) and Emily Heppler (Newtown Square, PA/Marple Newtown) each had 12 digs.  Harman also served up a pair of aces.
 
Emily Stewart led Clarion with 10 kills.  Rebecca Ferragonio had a game-high 23 digs.
 
Slippery Rock bested the Golden Bears 25-13, 25-14 and 25-12.
 
Harman had six kills and 10 digs.  Nicole Brumbley (Oxford, PA/Oxford) added three blocks. 
 
Shelby Obitts had 11 kills and three aces for The Rock.  Jana Reilly had 13 assists and 13 digs.  Hannah McShea also had 13 digs.
 
Kutztown opens its PSAC East Schedule on September 28 with a road match at Millersville at 7 p.m.
