KU in Fourth at USBC Team Sectionals

RESULTS

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (March 10, 2012)—The Kutztown University women's bowling team is in fourth place at the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Intercollegiate Team Sectional following 32 Baker games on Saturday afternoon at Parkway Lanes.

The Golden Bears (61-38 overall) have a pinfall of 6127. KU is currently ranked 13th in the National TenPin Coaches Association top 25 poll. KU defeated Long Island University-Brooklyn 722-644. However they dropped a match to Adrian College, 696-693 and to No.5 University of Maryland-Eastern Shore, 797-790.

The sectionals consist of 32 Baker games each day for a total of 64 Baker games. The top four teams based on total pinfall in each division following the completion of competition at each sectional will advance to the 2012 USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships.

Kutztown is scheduled to play Adelphi University and St. Francis-Pa. on Sunday for 32 Baker games.
