CHEYNEY, Pa. – The Kutztown University volleyball team made short work of PSAC East foe Cheyney, winning in three sets and allowing just 27 total points in the win.
 
The Golden Bears cruised through the first set with a resounding 25-3 win, then picked up the win with victories of 25-11 and 25-13 in the final two sets.
 
Audrey Stringer (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) paced KU with eight kills and two blocks.  Brianna Risch (Coatesville, PA/Coatesville) and Brittany Harman (Hanover, PA/South Western) each had five kills. 
 
Chelsea Braga (Long Beach, N.Y./Long Beach (Fairleigh Dickinson)) had a team-high 11 digs.  
 
Kimberlee Gomber (Washington, PA/Washington) had eight assists, one more than teammate Dana Wright (Warminster, PA/Saint Basil Academy). 
 
Gomber, Harman and Braga each had two aces. 
 
KU returns home to host Lock Haven on October 19 at 7 p.m.
