KUTZTOWN, Pa. (November 4, 2011) – The Kutztown University women's volleyball team took another step forward Friday night as it received contributions from many new faces in its 3-0 home victory against Cheyney University at Keystone Arena.

Liz DiValerio (King of Prussia, PA/Upper Merion) led the Golden Bears (23-8, 12-6 PSAC) with eight kills along with an impressive .439 hitting percentage. The sophomore has 81 kills this season.
Fellow sophomore
Roxanne Dougherty (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Carroll) had a career-high six kills in the victory. She led KU with seven digs. Dougherty has played in three matches this season and has shown promise for KU in the near future.
Danielle Van Buren (Bethlehem, Pa./Saucon Valley) and
Nicole Brumbley (Oxford, PA/Oxford) each added five kills. The duo also totaled for two and a half blocks for the top blocking team in the conference.
Kutztown travels to West Chester on Saturday for its final match of the regular season. Game-time is set for 1 p.m.
