Post in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division game on Saturday afternoon
.(BOXSCORE)
The Golden Bears (9-6 overall, 4-4 PSAC East) are currently third in the PSAC East Division. The Pioneers (8-6 overall, 3-5 PSAC East) are behind KU in fourth. KU entered the game ranked eighth in the latest Kookaburra / National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) top poll.
Reynolds, who scored her third goal of the season against C.W. Post, used a five-yarder that was right on time for Kutztown in the vital last minutes of the game. Reynolds only took two shots during the game, proving to be a reliable force for the Golden Bears.
However,
Jamie Koenig (Springtown, PA/Palisades) fueled the scoring drive for Kutztown when she scored the game's first goal just five minutes into the second half. Koenig's goal was assisted by
Imani Ferguson (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape). Ferguson's shot hit off the post to allow Koenig to rebound the ball and score.
C.W. Post's Carlee Dragon tallied her 18th goal of the season when she responded to the Koenig-Ferguson feat, nine minutes later to tie the game, 1-1. Dragon's goal was assisted by Lyn-Marie Wilson.
With 13 minutes remaining in the second half, Koenig struck again when she recorded her eight goal of the season, giving KU the 2-1 advantage.
Amanda Miller replied and tied the game 2-2 when she scored her first goal from Helene Bruckner with eight minutes remaining to put the Pioneers back in the game.
C.W. Post outshot KU 17-8.
