ERIE, PA (September 19, 2009) – The Kutztown University volleyball team battled hard before dropping a 3-0 decision to host Gannon University in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover match Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Bears (6-4 overall) fell 25-20, 25-12, 25-20. Leading Kutztown were Katie Lutz (Greencastle, PA/Greencastle Antrim) and Brianna Risch (Coatesville, PA/Coatesville), who combined for 11 kills. Lutz had a team-high six kills while Risch contributed five. Dana Wright (Warminster, PA/Saint Basil Academy) finished with 12 assists and Jamie Celia (Douglassville, PA/Daniel Boone) added 10 digs for Kutztown.

The Golden Bears will return to action next weekend when they travel to East Stroudsburg on Friday and Lock Haven on Saturday.
