Stephanie Denlinger was named the 2009 Daktronics National Player of the Year, the first Golden Bear to do so. She broke the NCAA Division II all-time record for home runs with 79 (still stands today) and walks (159). She also holds the PSAC record for career RBI. She is Kutztown's all-time leader in runs scored and total bases, and is second in batting average, third in doubles, fourth in hits, and sixth in games played.
 
Along with being named the National Player of the Year in her senior year, Denlinger was a two-time Daktronics All-America first team selection. She was a two-time PSAC East and Daktronics Atlantic Region Player of the Year, a four time All-PSAC East and NFCA All-Atlantic Region First Team selection, a three-time all-region player, and the 2006 PSAC East Freshman of the Year. She was a two-time Kutztown Female Athlete of the Year and the 2009 Female Senior Athlete of the Year.
 
Over her four years, Denlinger led KU to four NCAA Tournament appearances and 169 wins for a 72.8 winning percentage. In PSAC play, KU was 74-14 for a 84.1 winning percentage.

Denlinger is a native of Harleysville and is Souderton High School graduate. She currently works at the Harleysville Hotel and is the head coach of the 2014 PIAA State Champion Souderton varsity softball team. She and is married to her husband, Philip, who is also a Kutztown graduate and a former baseball player.
