Shannon J. Daggett was a two-sport student-athlete in field hockey and track & field. In field hockey, she was a two-time All-America forward.  She was second on the team in scoring in her senior season behind current KU hall-of-famer Jennifer Wolfgang Rush with 17 goals and seven assists (41 points). Daggett led the PSAC in goals scored per game that season and helped guide Kutztown to the NCAA National Championship game. 
 
She set the Kutztown career record and is presently third in assists (28), and is fourth with 49 career goals for 126 points (third in school history). She notched 10 assists in 1996 for a KU single-season record which currently rates tied for fourth.
 
On the track, Daggett currently ranks on two of Kutztown's Indoor All-Time Top 10 lists as she is the school-record holder in the 55m hurdles and second in the 200m dash. She holds the outdoor record in the 200m and also rates third in the 100m hurdles.
 
Daggett was a part of Kutztown's PSAC outdoor runner-up team in 1996 and PSAC outdoor champion team in 1997. In the championship season in 1997, she finished second in the 100m hurdles and fifth in the 200m.
