Paul C. Michener, ’70, was a three-year starter with the men’s basketball team from 1967-70. He also competed for two years with the golf team and the rifle team. In 1968-69, the forward was an all-league honorable mention as a junior, averaging 16.3 points per game. He also was the leading rebounder as a junior and senior. He was the team captain his senior year, averaging 15.1 points per game, playing in 19 games. During his junior and senior years, the Golden Bears were a combined 24-18, including a 15-13 record in the PSAC. He graduated in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree in education. He is a retired United States probation/parole officer and currently works in sales for the Innovative Print & Media Group, Inc. A native of Bridgeport, Pa., Michener and his wife, Lee Ann, have two children and one grandson.
