Megan Seefeldt Carson

Megan (Seefeldt) Carson was Kutztown's first PSAC cross country champion, helping the Golden Bears to a third place as a junior to earn PSAC Athlete of the Year. Seefeldt earned All-Region honors during that 2000 season with a ninth place finish. During the 2000-01 Indoor track & field season, she led the ECAC Champion KU team and finished second in the mile. Seefeldt went on to place second at the PSAC Outdoor Championships in both the 3,000-meter run and the 3,000-meter steeplechase. A t the 2001 N CAA Championships, Seefeldt was 13th in the steeplechase. As a senior, she finished third at both the PSAC and NCAA Regional to earn both A ll-Conference and All-Region accolades. Seefeldt was also the PSAC runner up during the 1999 cross country season and went on to earn All-America honors. In track & field, she was All-PSAC in both the 3,000 and 10,000-meter runs. As a freshman, she was an All-PSAC performer and the PSAC Rookie of the Y ear. She is married to Brian Carson and the couple has a son, Austin. She is a first grade teacher in the Solanco School District, and has continued to run since her days at KU with a win in the Lancaster Half Marathon.
