She set the school-record with 61 career singles victories, 49 doubles victories, and 110 combined wins.

Edwards currently ranks second in all career categories, after her doubles partner Margo Ayers broke Edwards' marks a year later. The team of Edwards and Ayers are the all-time leaders in doubles wins with 28 from 1994-97. Edwards won a career-high 19 matches in her senior year as the team's primary No. 1 player. As a freshman in 1993, she was the PSAC No. 6 Singles Champion to mark the program's first PSAC Champion, and helped lead KU to a runner-up finish in the PSAC.

Edwards is a native of Wayne, is a Conestoga High School graduate, and is currently working as a first grade teacher in the Southern Lehigh School District in Center Valley, Pa. She and her husband, Peter, have two daughters – Jillian (9) and Abigail (6).
