Lee Hawley is the most decorated defender in KU men's soccer history. He is the only player in program history to be named All-Region in each of his four seasons. Hawley was also a three-time All-PSAC pick. He played and started in every game during his Golden Bear career and was a three-time team captain.
Hawley, a Montrose, Pa., native, helped KU post double-digit win totals in 1999 and 2000, the only 10+ win seasons in program history. Hawley's teams also produced top five program single-season goal and assist totals.
He went on to play professionally with the Reading Rage prior to pursuing a career in education.
Off the field, Hawley was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete and Dean's List student. He served as a member of KU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and student government, and volunteered with the Special Olympics and Science Olympiad.
