Rush is fifth all-time in career goals (48), fifth in assists (22) and fourth in points (118). She had an outstanding senior season in 1997 in which she helped lead the Golden Bears to an appearance in the NCAA Championship contest. In addition, Rush was a NFHCA All-American, named the NCAA Division II Outstanding Player and represented Division II as the Honda-Broderick Cup nominee. She was elected as the PSAC Player of the Year and a first team all-PSAC honoree. Rush led KU in scoring with 17 goals and eight assists in 1997. Her 42 points in 1997 were the sixth most in a single season in KU history. Rush was also a first team NFHCA first team All-American and a first team All-PSAC East selection as a junior in 1996. Rush earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration and management. Rush was the head field hockey coach at Delaware Valley College from 2000-05. In her second year, which the Aggies went 12-8, and set a program record for wins in a season and qualified for the Freedom Conference playoffs. Rush was named MAC Coach of the Year. Rush also led the Aggies to the conference playoffs in 2003. Currently Rush is a stay at home mom, married to Michael Rush with three children, Thomas, 3 years old, and identical twin girls Caroline and Julianna, who are 6 months old.
