Brickus was a member of coach Bernie Driscoll’s first men’s basketball team. A four-year starter, Brickus finished his career with 1,218 points, 425 assists, 160 steals, and 317 made free throws. When he graduated, Brickus was the all-time leader in assists and free throws made. He is currently second in both categories. Brickus was a two-time all-PSAC East first team selection (2002-03 and 2003-04). Brickus holds the KU men’s basketball single game record for assists with 13. He handed out 123 assists in his senior season. Brickus earned a bachelor of science degree in Leisure and Sport Studies and has a master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County. Brickus attended Coatesville High School and was a member of the Red Raiders’ 2001 PIAA Class AAAA championship team.
