Huber, 58, of Summit Station, was an all-conference back. The Allentown native played quarterback, halfback and safety. From 1938 to 1942, Mike was a star. He started the second game of his freshman season and played in every quarter for four years until the final half of the last game in his senior year. He suffered a torn cartilage. In 1938, the freshmen team was undefeated. In the last game, he took a fake PAT attempt and completed a pass to defeat Millersville, 7-6. He was the team’s leading ground gainer as a junior and in his senior year he was named MVP. After having served four years in the Air Force, Huber coached 10 years, three at Indiana (Pa.) High and seven at Haverford. In 1955, he took a position at KSC as member of the library sciences staff. In 1957, he became director of admission, the position he presently holds.
